Group Description
An 8-week group designed to help teen girls build a healthier relationship with social media while strengthening self-esteem, emotional regulation, and resilience. This group supports teens struggling with comparison, low self-esteem, anxiety, body image concerns, and emotional overwhelm, while promoting confidence, self-compassion, and balanced digital habits.
In this group, your teen will:
Explore how social media impacts mood, self-esteem, stress, and body image
Build confidence, self-compassion, and emotional regulation skills
Reduce comparison and identify personal strengths, values, and coping strategies
Practice mindfulness to manage anxiety and digital overwhelm
Develop healthy boundaries and balanced online and offline connections
Clinical Team
Rana Rimawi, Psy.D., is a postdoctoral fellow at Interactive Discovery, specializes in helping teens build self-esteem, emotional regulation, and resilience while navigating social media and the digital world with intention and confidence. She has extensive experience providing individual, family, parent-child, and group therapy across community mental health, school-based, university, and private practice settings, working with children, adolescents, young adults, and families. Dr. Rimawi takes a warm, collaborative, and attuned approach, integrating evidence-based, trauma-informed modalities including CBT, DBT, psychodynamic, attachment-based, and family systems approaches, alongside mindfulness, play therapy, and other creative interventions. As a woman of color, she brings a culturally responsive, equity-focused lens to her work, honoring each client’s identity, strengths, and resilience while fostering growth, connection, and empowerment.
