Group Description
A 8-week group for 3rd-5th grade girls looking for support with interpersonal relationships, self-esteem, and emotion regulation skills.
In this group, your child will have the opportunity to:
Learn how to identify and express their emotions in playful and creative ways
Improve their relationships with others through empathy building, perspective taking, and conversation skills
Practice conflict-resolution skills by learning how to regulate their body and emotions, self-reflect and communicate with others effectively
Clinical Team
Julia Heffernan, LCAT, ATR-BC (she/they) has experience supporting children, teens, adults, and families in clinics, schools, and community settings. Julia specializes in treating anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism, Tourette’s/tic disorders, selective mutism, gender dysphoria, and OCD. Their therapeutic approach is grounded in warmth, creativity, and attunement, integrating art therapy, play-based techniques, and psychodynamic talk therapy. Julia is particularly passionate about working with neurodivergent and gender-expansive individuals, creating inclusive, affirming spaces for identity exploration, emotional growth, and self-expression.
